Peaceful home Euthanasia

When the time comes to say goodbye to your beloved friend,
it is hard to know how to make it the most peaceful it can be.
For many of us, taking our pet to the vet at this heart-breaking time is not what we want. We have been there, we know.
Holding your pet in a place where they feel safe and loved feels like the best honour and dignity for them, and what they deserve.
We are here to help you, help them, pass away peacefully.

What will happen?

Alice or Sam will call and arrange with you a suitable time to come to your home.
Once with you, we will introduce ourself to your pet, spend time explaining our process and give you compassion when it's needed most.

Firstly we will give your pet a gently sedation and relax them and once that's effective, give an injection to put them to sleep.
Communication and listening to you and your needs is how we will together make this time of passing the best and gentlest it can be.

Sometimes known as putting your pet down or putting them to sleep, our service is designed to make their final moments peaceful.

Elizabeth Cawley with Lily

“Her condition left Lily very sensitive to touch but Sam ensured she was thoroughly sedated and comfortable before she was given her final medication to pass. My sons and I could be close to her when the time came and Sam calmly and quietly excused himself after. This gave us the time we needed to give her lots of cuddles before we took her to her cremation."

Emma May

"We were recommended Alice and Sam at The Home Farewell Vet by our local Veterinary Practice- we felt they would be there for our dog when the time came. It was such a comfort to us that our lovely little dog was quiet, calm and peaceful, lying by the fire at the end."

Chris Farnham with Missy

“I didnt know how hard it would be to make the decision, but knowing there was someone on backup to come when I was ready was a Godsend. I didn't have to fit in with the vets, Alice and Sam fitted in with me.”
